Chuck Laabs did a wonderful job at recapping the year. His photos captured all the hard work and generosity of our members as well as our guest. He went from the installation of President Wilson to the installation of President Dawson, with the Jazz Fest, Auction, and all our wonderful speakers in between. Thank you, Chuck!!
Club Business
To help offset the cost of producing the video of Richard Hunt creating our centennial sculpture “Reaching Up Reaching Out” President Dawson is selling copies for $10.00. What a deal to have this event captured on film by such a grand producer! Please contact Mike at interprod1@aol.com if you are interested in purchasing one. This is a great way to show Mike how much we appreciate all his hard work.
Saturday, July 14th is the day for our Third Annual Jazz Fest. Mark your calendars.
Come one! Come All! And bring the family. Let’s have 100% membership attendance at
this fantastic event!
If you haven’t purchased tickets to the play “HIZZONOR” showing at the Prop Theater in Chicago, there’s still time. You can purchase vouchers for the show until July 31st. The vouchers are $50.00 and the club receives more than half of the voucher price. This would be a great birthday or anniversary gift for your favorite person!
Don’t forget the new year started on July 1, 2007, so if you want to be among those with perfect attendance and you missed last week, please get to a make-up. Make-ups are good for 14 days before or after the missed meeting. Let’s see if we can set a new record next year!!

The next board meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 18th at the home of our new president, Mike Dawson. Please reply to interprod1@aol.com so that Mike and Barb can plan accordingly.
The next Capital Development Committee meeting is TBD.
The Presidential Conference “Sharing the Magic of Rotary” is set for July 27th & 28th in South Bend, IN. Club Presidents and any Rotarian enthused to build Rotary. Additional details to follow.

In light of the new year, I thought it a great idea to get to know you better. I will be sending
out a questionnaire to find out what makes you go tic-toc, what you would like to see
happen in the club, as well as your opinion on various issues. I will be highlighting four to
five members a week so the Board can act on any suggestions at their August meeting.
I look forward to 100% participation and a few good laughs.
